A little of this...and that....

I normally do a Mother's Day special.....as well as a Father's Day special....Valentine's Day, etc. Fortunately and unfortunately, I am too busy to pull off the Mother's Day special this year - however - I will be doing one for Father's Day so check back (or become a fan of Travis Dew Photography on FACEBOOK) to keep up with specials.

Looking forward to a bridal portrait this afternoon and then on to shoot a Rehearsal Dinner.....love being busy. A secret about the bride.....she's wearing tennis shoes for her wedding. The same ones she's worn at any special event she's had since high school. Love it.

Just a couple of shots that I got over my house the other weekend while the Blue Angels were in town. I was working in the yard....minding my own business.....when all of the sudden I felt like I was in a private surround- sound showing of Platoon. After I wiped the fear off my face, chills covered my body and I screamed and ran like a 5-year old to call my brother and grab my camera. My brother - is a Blue Angels pilot in his pretend life. He would love nothing more.....so I let him hear the jets go over....over the phone.

Baby J and Big Sister R - 3 Week Check-Up

Seriously? I mean honestly....Could these two be any cuter?? I love when I shoot a delivery because I get to visit them again in a couple of weeks. Because I was busy last week.....Mr. J got a 3-week visit instead of 2-weeks!

Well who greets me at the door but little Miss Tutu with the blue eyes. We played a little and she was off to school......so Mama, Baby J and I had fun by ourselves. Why is it that we feel like we can semi-torture a newborn to get cute shots? Do we really have to strip them down to nothing and lay them here and there....on their belly....change this hat....take the diaper off....AND we want him to remain sleeping through it all? Why - because they are so dang cute at this stage and it's fleeting and you never get it back. Totally worth it.

Loved seeing you all again.

School Pictures! Ahh...To Be a Child!

I visited Charleston Baptist Preschool yesterday and am going back tomorrow. I had the best time playing with all of the children - from babies to toddlers - capturing their little personalities for their school pictures. One child came right up to me and gave me a big ole' hug.....another grabbed onto my leg.....and one could not get ENOUGH of the camera!

I will be posting all pictures under password soon - but here's a quick little peek at a couple I know don't mind going up online....

Thanks for having me!....I'll see you guys in the morning.

I Do!

Perfect Weather...Perfect Weekend...Perfect Wedding.

Beautiful bride in a beautiful dress...

....and Daddy didn't leave her in the dust tonight...

Easy-going bridal party in pretty, champagne-colored dresses....shoes of their choice. I didn't hear anything but excitement from any of them.

Bride's mother and big sister getting everything in place before it's time to go.

Groomsmen....minus two. I don't think the brothers of the bride got the memo. We caught 'em later though.

First dance as Mr. and Mrs. Bibee.....

.....and the Tasmanian Devil is back.......and tonight, he grabbed the mother of the groom. "Don't Stop...Believ'an"

I hope this picture shows just how lovely this wedding cake was - it was STUNNING in person.

I smell T-R-O-U-B-L-E. Nephews of the bride....too cute. Middle one gave the older one a loving smack in the stomach just before going down the isle. Left all of us in the narthex laughing.

Well Katherine and Carty....the planning is over and you are now Mr. and Mrs. Congratulations to you for such an enjoyable weekend. I'm sure it was somewhere....but I didn't sniff out an ounce of stress or worry. Two great families, lots of good friends and loads of fun. Thanks for having me. I'll let you know when your pictures go up.

Rehearse It!

Last night was the Rehearsal for Katherine and Carty's wedding tonight. The night started with everyone arriving at the church....dressed, excited and ready to take their places.

They went through the ceremony a couple of times....groomsmen on the right, bridesmaids on the left...the regular drill.

"Uncle James is with a girl! Ewww!"

The father of the bride is in a wheelchair so she was working on setting her pace coming down the isle....

Until he BLEW right past her!! Love it.

Then we moved on over to the Old Exchange Building for a little cocktail hour and a beautiful dinner.

Many great toasts were given.....and then the floor was cleared. The bride changed into these FANTASTIC shoes! .......

And the dancing BEGAN....

Notice the cast....and then notice the three drinks. Talent!

Showing off his bling.....during a pensive moment.

$10 bet for the groom to sing "Brown Eyed Girl"....he got the money.

This picture does not give this guy's dancing skillz enough credit! But... mix this shot with a little Tasmanian Devil....and you get the idea. Outstanding.

Bride and Groom to be!

Watching the groom carry out a bet by singing "Brown Eyed Girl"

Sister of the bride boogying with their daddy!

A great time was had by all.....can't wait for tonight!
