Preggars....

These cute two were my neighbors at one point....and we're trying to lure them back into the hood with us. Hopefully, they'll be back in the Spring.  In the meantime, they're having themselves a baby!!  I'm excited about them because I'm shooting their delivery, 2-week, 3-months, 6-months, and so on!  That, my friends, is how it should be done.  Good for them for planning ahead and setting this up.....because when reality hits - what you planned on doing....and what you actually get done are two different things. I'm just sayin.

They called about a maternity shoot....but neither Shaun nor Ashley wanted anything 'too staged' - WHEW!  Me neither!  I much prefer a little interaction with each other and just a quick little memory of 'what you looked like' knocked up.  I ran from the camera when I was pregnant.  Fast.  Well....as fast as I could.  And may I just say that you look darn good to be about 2-3 weeks away....!

He's crazy about her....and I think it shows!

Who said you can't have a little fun with gravity....right there at the end....I mean, the further away from Christmas...the better, right?

See you in a couple of weeks!  Looking forward to it!

Happy Turkey Day!

I didn't get my camera out as much as I should have over Thanksgiving.  Quite frankly, I did a lot of editing but took a little vacation from most of it.  We took our family to my sister's house at Lake Oconee....great time away from our everyday mayhem.  My sister, as I've said before, does a great job at creating a festive atmosphere no matter the occasion.  The smell of cider filled the house....cupcakes were made ready for the younger ones to decorate....and the darned cheese ball was a turkey!  My oldest, "R" got to go hunting for the first time....a huge milestone for him - he thought it was fantastic....sitting in a deer stand with his Daddy for a few hours.  (Sounds completely miserable to me.....but he hasn't quit talking about it and I'm so happy for him.)

Finger lickin' turkey cupcake makin' with cousins...

A little 8-year old cousin  terrorizing the 18-year old cousin....

Thursday morning we all piled in a couple of cars and went to my other sister's house.....36 of us in total (a few were absent this year...but it's normally that many.)  I'm the baby of 8 and my youngest, "H", is the 18th grandchild.  One tradition amongst the cousins?....a secret santa swap.  If I heard about it once on the drive over....I heard it a million times.  Lawd, chile...my children love it.

One of the nicest boys around...right here.

Having a little post-dessert rest by the pool.

Pleasant Kenson always excited to have family around.

Finally, he gets to rip into what he's been talking about for d-a-y-s.

Dessert of choice....my step-brother's famous chocolate whipped cream pie.....my "B" just LOVES it!

Love to see a little cousin support...these boys had themselves a grand time.  I think "H" still has dirt in his hair from this day.

....and, this is my nephew....and this is how he feels about my camera.

Afternoon in I'on

So this little munchkin was christened on Sunday....and they are visiting all the way from Colorado!  Laurie called me to come over to make sure we got some quick shots with the whole family Monday afternoon.  I spent a little time with Miss "L" first....we went over her school project 'All About Me'.  I learned that she likes the number 5 because she was born 5/25 at 5:15 weighing in at 5lbs!  (I can't remember if I've got all those correct!)

Thanks for showing me around and playing with me "L".....I loved meeting your sweet little nephew, brother, sister and brother-in-law.

What?.....What's wrong with making some faces?

Wedded Bliss....

Saturday night.....Elle and Sam gathered friends and family around while they exchanged wedding vows. The back drop was a perfect Fall evening.....beautiful weather with an even better view.

"L" got asked to hold the rings in the ceremony.  It was a little nerve racking for him....but he pulled it off perfectly!

And....this was the view off the deck....just terrible.
The bride and her children and grandchildren.....which she had at 3, 7 and 10.  I mean....honestly!!

"L" taking a little time to himself....

Sam and his new step-children.....asking him for an allowance!

"E" got to take the flowers during the ceremony....she was all over it.

Check out the new high heels......First. Pair. Ever.

PEOPLE MAGAZINE....Regular, not Country

So.... you know you're busy when it takes a week (or more!) to shout out about the fact that I'VE GOT A PICTURE IN PEOPLE MAGAZINE!!  People Magazine did a story on Darius Rucker and it was featured in the People Magazine - Country Edition last month.  But now, the bigger version of the story is running in the November 22, 2010 issue and they have used another family photo that I have taken of Darius with his children.  I DID NOT DO THE ENTIRE SHOOT.....I would hate to ever take credit for someone else's hard work - I just have the one picture of Darius with his children.  WOOOOHOOOO!

Here's the photo that is in this issue...

and here is one of my favorite photos from this shoot - D with his beautiful wife...the happiest couple around.  They really are...that happy....and she really is, that pretty.

Miss Chita!!

Saturday morning was a special time for M and W......they had BOTH sets of grandparents to play with AND a surprise visit from a dear family friend, Miss Chita.  We were having a great time.....we did get a little nipped by the no-see-ums (funny thing is.....they often show up in pictures buzzing around hair!) while in the grass.....but moving down to the pier was a good move.  Thanks for calling me out to play - I got to meet lots of special people in your lives.

Love to see a little sibling sweetness!

Can't you almost feel how crazy she is about her Daddy?  That's one smoocharooski!

Check out all the energy in M's little body......he was making a WISH....and tossing his coin in the fountain....(I think it went all the way in the river!)

I love the matching, red "Levi" tags.....
